Dynasty Financial Partners announced today that Timothy Bello has joined the firm as partner and director of strategic Implementation.
The New York-based start-up platform of outsourced services will use its new hire to roll up his sleeves and make sure that RIAs really make the platform effective on behalf of clients. “He’ll run shotgun with advisors to match up our capabilities with an advisor’s $30 million client,” says Shirl Penney, president and CEO of Dynasty.
In his role, Bello will work with Loren Morris, Dynasty’s director of RIA Services, and Jason Pinkham, who has been promoted from chief of staff to director of advisor integration. Morris leads the on-boarding and servicing of new advisor teams, while Pinkham will now oversee the transition process for advisors as they integrate into the firm’s network.
Bello joins Dynasty from SkyBridge Capital, the New York-based alternative asset manager, where he served as head of global platforms in charge of building and managing the firm’s platform sales activities.
“He could be the head of alternative investment sales probably at any wirehouse,” Penney adds. “He’s that caliber of guy.”
But Bello prefers to be part of the emerging business of independent advice, he says in a release.
“The move toward independence in the private wealth management industry continues to gain tremendous momentum, and it’s a true pleasure to be joining an organization whose leadership team is at the forefront of that change. Dynasty’s overall vision and ability to look ahead of the curve, identify opportunities, and execute is exceptional.”
Prior to joining SkyBridge, Bello was a vice president with the U.S. Private Client Platform Distribution team at Permal Group where he helped launch the firm’s U.S. distribution arm and brand. Bello began his career with Permal’s institutional sales team, interfacing with pensions, endowments, and institutional consultants. He currently serves as special advisor to the board of the Family Office Association in Greenwich, CT. Bello is a graduate of St. Lawrence University.
